New York Urban League Hosts Press Conference at Their Harlem Headquarters
New York, NY (August 16, 2011) – The New York Urban League has been at the forefront of community issues for more than 90 years and with such severe youth unemployment rates, action must be taken. Earlier today the New York Urban League hosted a press conference at their headquarters in Harlem with Senator Kristen Gillibrand and Marc Morial of the National Urban League to draw attention to the urgent need for The Urban Jobs Act--federal legislation that would provide nonprofit organizations with funding for job-training programs that serve disconnected urban residents.
