Wakeman Agency Takes Home the Gold from PRSA's Mercury Awards
New York, NY (June 23, 2011) –The Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) has awarded The Wakeman Agency the 2011 Gold Medal for the agency’s tactical media campaign for Gilles Montezin Bridal. PRSA’s Mercury Awards were created in 1996 to recognize outstanding work in the public relations, communications and marketing disciplines. The awards competition is designed to honor creative and strategic excellence and encourage a higher level of performance.
The Agency was recognized for a media outreach campaign for the debut of Gilles Montezin Bridal, to introduce their wedding gown collection to the luxury market. The award-winning campaign resulted in 40+ media placements and more than 10.5 million media impressions in a 6-month period. The campaign generated significant National print, broadcast and online coverage and created awareness of the collection among high-end retailers such as Kleinfeld Bridal, Saks Fifth Avenue and Bergdorf Goodman.
