Virtual Internships

As part of our global virtual work environment, we have integrated our progressive internship program into the mix. Virtual Intern candidates can gain experience by working as part of the team in the Development, Public Relations or Marketing Departments. Traditional internships are also available in the same departments.

 

Virtual Internship positions available:

 

Development Intern – Virtual Interns gain fundraising experience while working as part of a support team that plans and manages fundraising events. Interns will work on event planning and logistics and learn about the various aspects of event planning for non-profits.  Candidates must have superior verbal and written communication skills, be technology savvy and have excellent attention to detail.  The Virtual Development Intern will learn about non-profit organizations by understanding funding sources, researching possible revenue streams for events and throwing successful events for the organization.

 

Marketing Intern –Our virtual intern will help to generate buzz in communities primarily for our small business and non-profit partners. Our ideal virtual intern will have experience using Web 2.0 sites, driven to learn and have an interest working in a small company where you will have an opportunity to work on a multitude of projects in varying roles. They should be comfortable in a virtual environment, and self-motivated. If you have a strong work ethic mixed with social activism and constantly think of new ways to use the internet to get the word out with measurable results, you will be a great addition to our team.

 

Public Relations Intern - Learn what it takes to develop a successful public relations campaign. Our firm works with a diverse group of non-profit organizations and small/mid-sized businesses that are looking to launch innovative campaigns to increase their visibility in the market place. We are seeking an energetic virtual intern that is interested in learning the ins and outs of PR by building and maintaining media lists, monitoring media coverage, researching, developing and distributing media materials, and more. The intern will have an opportunity to pitch to specific media outlets during the period of the internship and develop writing skills by working on press releases.

 

Virtual internship positions are not paid, but we are happy to work with any academic requirements the intern may have, to help them earn college credit for their efforts.
