The Power of Local Media

As a prime example of the power of local journalism, earlier this spring the Washington Informer and the New York Amsterdam News—a venerable institution in the historical and contemporary Black Press—broke the story that 25 million Black and Latino voters are missing or incorrectly listed in U.S. voter databases.
